Rakhi's mother is 4 times as old as rakhi.After 5 years,her mother will be 3 times as old as she will be then.Find their present ages.​

Let,

Rakhi's age be = x

and Rakhi's mother's age be = 4 × x + 5 → 4x + 5

After 5 years Rakhi's mother will be 3 times old as she will be then

ATQ

3 ( x + 5 ) = ( 4x + 5 )

→ 3x + 15 = 4x + 5

→ 3x - 4x = 5 - 15

→ -x = -10

→ x = 10

Therefore,

Rakhi's present age is 10 years

And Rakhi's mother's present age is =

( 10 × 4 ) = 40 years
