Answer:

No

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Time spent by Rakshak for Maths =4/7 of an hr

Time spent by Rakshak for Marathi=5/9 of an hour

1st Method

We can check which fraction is greater

4/7 can be re written as 4×9/7×9 (Multiplying both

numerator and

denominator with 9)

=36/63

5/9 can be re written as 5x7/9×7 (Multiplying both

numerator and

denominator with 7)

=35/63

Here, 36/63>35/63

Therefore 4/7>5/9

Hence,He spends more time for maths

2nd method

1 hour= 60 minutes

Time Rakshak spent for maths=4/7 of 60 minutes

=4/7×60

=240/7

=34.286 minutes

Time Rakshak spent for marathi=5/9 of 60 minutes

=5/9×60

=300/9

=33.333 minutes

Here,34.286>33.333

Hence,He spends more time for maths.

So,he is not spending the same amount of time for both the subjects.
