Answer:

Let us take,

Re.1 coins as x

Rs. 2 coins as y

The total number or Re.1 and Rs.2 are 50

So x+y=50_______________________________(1)

Therefore, the total amount of Re.1 is 1x

Therefore, the total amount of Rs.2 is 2y

Total money is 75

Hence the sum of Total Re.1 amount + Total Rs.2 amount = 75

This is 1x+2y=75  ______________________________(2)

Equating Eqn. 1 and 2

x=50-y

Putting x in 1x+2y=75

1(50-y)+2y=75

y=25

Putting y in  x=50-y

We get x = 50 – 25 = 25

Therefore, the number of Re.1 coin is 25 and Rs.2 coin is 25

Your Answer

Given:-

  • Rakshita has Rs 1 and Rs 2 coins with her.
  • Total coins are 50
  • Amount of coins are Rs 75

To find:-

  • Number of Rs.1 and Rs.2 coins.

Solution:-

Let the number of Rs 1 coins be x and number of Rs 2 coins be y

\tt So, \:According\:to\:the \:Question\\\\ \tt the \:total \:number\: of \:coins \: are\:50\\\\ \tt \Rightarrow x+y=50\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow(1)

and

\tt The \:total \:amount\: of \:coins \: are\:Rs.75\\\\ \tt \Rightarrow x+2y=75\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow(2)

Solving eq (1) and (2)

\tt x+2y=75\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow(2)\\\\\tt x+y=50\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow\rightarrow(1)\\\\\tt By \: solving \:we \:get\:x=25\:and \:y=25

So, number of Rs.1 coin= 25

and

number of Rs 2 coins = 25
