Given :  Ram had 15 rupees more than Shyam.

The amount with Ram was 60 Percent of the total amount with them.

To Find : How much amount did they have altogether

Solution:

Let say Shyam had  = Rs x

=> Ram had = x + 15  Rs

Total  = x + x + 15  = 2x + 15  Rs

The amount with Ram was 60 Percent of the total amount with them.

=> x + 15  = (60/100)(2x + 15)

=> x + 15 = (3/5)(2x + 15)

=> 5x + 75 =  6x + 45

=> x = 30

Shayam had = 30

Ram had = 30 + 15 = 45

Total = 30 + 45 = 75

Altogether they had = Rs 75
