Answer:

probability of getting ram sick= 2/3 * 3/5= 2/5

probability of rama getting sick= 1/3 * 2/5= 2/15

probability of getting anyone sick= (2/5 + 2/15)

= 8/15

The probability of either of them falling sick is 0.48

Given:

Ram and Rama both have an apple each.

The probability of Ram eating the apple is 2/3

The probability of Rama eating the apple is 1/3

Probability that Ram will fall sick after eating the apple is 3/5

Probability that Rama will fall sick after eating the apple is 2/5

To Find:

The probability of either of them falling sick.

Solution:

Probability of Ram eating apple = 2/3

Probability of Ram falling sick after eating apple = 3/5

Probability that ram will fall Sick = (2/3)(3/5) = 2/5

Probability of Rama eating apple =1/3

Probability of Rama falling sick after eating apple = 2/5

Probability that rama will fall Sick = (1/3)(2/5) = 2/15

Probability that both will fall sick = (2/5)(2/15) = 4/75

probability of either of them falling sick = 2/5 + 2/15 - 4/75

= (30 + 10 - 4)/75

= 36/75

= 12/25

= 0.48

the probability of either of them falling sick is 0.48
