Answer:

Answer: Either Ram has Rs 11 and Roshini has Rs 15 or Roshini has Rs 11 and Ram has Rs 15.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the money Ram has be X

Let the money Roshini has be Y

Total money altogether=26

equation 1: X+Y=26

after spending Rs 5  each, the product = 60

equation 2: (X-5).(Y-5)=60

from equation 1:

X=26-Y

from equation 2:

(26-Y-5).(Y-5)=60

= -Y^2-105-26Y=60

quadratic equation:

=Y^2-26Y+165=0

=Y^2-15Y-11Y+165=0

= (Y-15).(Y-11)=0

so Y =11,15

X=11,15

Answer: Either Ram has Rs 11 and Roshini has Rs 15 or Roshini has Rs 11 and Ram has Rs 15.
