ram bought bicycle for rupees 4000

amount of bicycle=4000

ram sold it for 5600

therefore

buying price-selling price

=4000- 5600

=1600

profit = 1600

Selling price ⟹ ₹ 5600

profit ⟹ selling price - cost price

profit ⟹ ₹ ( 5600 - 4000 )

profit ⟹ ₹ 1600

profit \%⟹( \dfrac{profit}{cp} \times 100 )\%

profit\% ⟹ (\dfrac{1600}{4000} \times 100) \%

profit % ⟹ 40 %

hence, profit percent is
