Ram can do a work in 20 days. Raj can do [1/30] th of a piece of work in a day. In how many days can
they do the same work, working together?

M1×D1×H1/W1 = M2× D2×H2/W2
Solve with this formula
where M stands For = No. of man
D stands For = No. of days
H stands For = No. of hours
W stands For = No. of work

Answer:

Work can be done by Ram in = 20 days

Work done by Ram in a day = 1/20th

Raj can do = 1/30 th of piece of work in a day.

1/30×30 = 1

therefore Raj can do the work in = 30 days.

Ram and Raj work together

part of work done by both in a day=

1/20+1/30

lcm = 60

1/20×3/3= 3/60

1/30×2/2 = 2/60

= (3+2)/60

= 5/60

= 1/12 th part in a day.

1/12×12 = 1

therefore they can complete the work in 12 days.(together)
