Ram chose 6 different prime numbers and labeled them adA B C D E F he asks his friend to find these numbers using following information 1) F is the smallest two digit prime number. 2) C- E=1. 3) on the number line the distance between A and F is same as the distance between Do also A is smaller than D. 4) B is greater than F and less than D. Help his friend to find these prime numbers.

A= 3 or 5

B=13 if A=5 and B=13 or 17 if A=3

C=3

D= 19 if A=3 and D=17 if A=5

E=2

F=11.

Explanation:

  1. Smallest two digit prime number is 11. Therefore f=11.
  2. It is given that c-e=1. To satisfy this condition C and E must be consecutive prime numbers. 2&3 are the only consecutive prime numbers. Therefore C=3,E=2.
  3. In number line the distance between A and F must be same as that of F and D. We know F=11. If A=3 then the distance is 8 units. Using this distance, D must be 19. If A=5 then the distance is 6 units. Using this distance, D must be 17.
  4. It is given that B is between F and D and B is less than D. Therefore if A=5 and D=17 then B=13. If A=3 and D=19 then B=13 or 17.
