Welcome students,

◆ Answer -

vavg = 26.67 km/h

● Explanation -

# Given -

s = 100 km

v1 = 20 km/h

v2 = 40 km/h

# Solution -

During first half of journey -

t1 = s1 / v1

t1 = 50 / 20

t1 = 2.5 s

During second half of journey -

t2 = s2 / v2

t2 = 50 / 40

t2 = 1.25 s

Average speed of Ram during whole journey is given by -

vavg = (s1 + s2) / (t1 + t2)

vavg = (50 + 50) / (2.5 + 1.25)

vavg = 100 / 3.75

vavg = 26.67 km/h

Therefore, average speed of Ram is 26.67 km/h.

Thanks ...

Explanation:

distance = 100 KM

first speed = 20 km per hour

second speed =40 km per hour

half of the distance : 100/2 = 50

To find average speed

= Total distance travelled

---------------------------------------------

Total time taken
