Define x:

Let Ram has x amount

Find the amount Deepak has in term of x

Ram gave 40% to Deepak

40% of x = 0.4x

Find the amount Sabash has in term of x:

Deepak gave 1/4 of the amount to Sabash

1/4 of 0.4x = 0.25 x 0.4x = 0.1x

Find the amount Sabash has

Amount = 200 + 600 = Rs 800

Solve x:

Amounnt Subash has = 0.1x

Amount Subash has = Rs 800

0.1x = 800

x = 800 ÷ 0.1

x = Rs 8000

Given:

Ram gave 40% of the amount to Deepak

Deepak gave 1/4 of 40% from Ram to Subash

Taxi = 200 Rupees by Subash

Subash has 600 Rupees

To find:

The amount Ram had.

Solution:

To find how much Ram had,

Deepak has,

40% of Ram = 0.4 Ram

Deepak = 0.4 Ram

Subash has,

1/4 of 0.4 Ram

0.25 * 0.4 Ram

Subash = 0.1 Ram

Subash had 200 + 600

Subash = 800

Solving,

0.1 Ram = 800

Ram = 800 / 0.1

Ram = 8000 Rupees

Ram had 8000 Rupees.
