Step-by-step explanation:

Given Ram goes in a shop to get 20 notebooks at a price of 36.60 rupees each. Due to increase of the price he could buy 15 notebooks. Find the increase in the price of a notebook

It is given that

1 notebook costs Rs 36.60. Ram wants to buy 20 notebooks. So total cost for 20 notebooks will be 36.60 x 20

= Rs 732

Now due to increase in price he purchases 15 notebooks.

The cost of 15 notebooks will be Rs 732

Therefore 1 notebook will cost 732 / 15

                                                 = Rs 48.8

Now increase in price difference of a notebook will be 48.8 – 36.60

                                                                  = Rs 12.2
