Answer:

  • Marks of Ram = 44

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Ram got 8 marks more than Shyam in an examination, Anil got 4 marks more than Ram and the sum of marks of all the three is 128.

To find : Marks of Ram

Solution :

We will solve this problem by the method of assumption where we will assume the marks of Shyam as some variable say x because the base comparison of the 3's is Shyam and then by forming equation, we can find the marks of Ram.

-------------------------------------------------------

Let the marks obtained by Shyam be x.

Then marks of Ram would be x + 8

Also the marks of Anil would be ( x + 8 ) + 4 = ( x + 12 )

-------------------------------------------------------

Now we are given total sum of their marks.

Marks of (Shyam + Ram + Anil) = 128

→ x + (x + 8) + (x + 12) = 128

→ x + x + 8 + x + 12 = 128

→ 3x + 20 = 128

→ 3x = 128 - 20

→ 3x = 108

→ x = 108/3

→ x = 36

-------------------------------------------------------

We have obtained marks of Shyam = x = 36.

Ram got 8 marks extra than Shyam

i.e marks of Ram = 36 + 8 = 44

Hence Ram's marks = 44

Given:-

ram got 8 marks more more than Shyam in an examination.

Anil got 4 marks more than Ram in the same examination..

To find:-

Ram's Marks

Solution:-

Let Shyam scored marks in examination be X years..

Ram scored marks in examination be (x+8)

Anil scored marks in examination be(x+8+4)=(x+12)

Their total marks is 128..

________________

So,

x+x+8+x+4=128

∴3x+20=128

∴3x=128-20

∴3x=108

∴x= \dfrac{108}{3}

∴x=36

Ram scored marks in examination=x+8

[Let's put the value of x]

=36+8

=44

_______________

Verification:-

Marks of Shyam+Marks of Ram+Marks of Anil=128

∴36+48+44=128

∴128=128

Hence verified
