Marks scored by ram in the examination = ( X + 8 ).

Marks scored by Anil in the examination = ( X + 8 + 4 ) = ( X + 12 ).

X + X + 8 + X + 12 = 128

3X + 20 = 128

3X = 128 - 20

3X = 108

X = 108/3

X = 36

Marks scored by ram = ( X + 8 ) = ( 36 + 8 ) = 44 marks.

And Total=128

x+x+8+x+8+4=128
3x+20=128
3x=128-20=108
x=108÷3=36
