Hii dear,

# Answer- a = Rs.13250

# Given-

interest rate for sum a = 10%

interest rate for sum b = 20%

total sum = Rs.20000

combined interest = Rs.5350

# Solution-

Through given data, we can say

a+b = 20000 (1)

Total interest = principal × interest rate × time

Total interest = 2(10%a+20%b)

5350 = 2(a+2b)/10

a+2b = 26750 (2)

Solving (1) & (2)

b = 6750

a = 20000-6750

a = 13250

Sum invested in a is Rs.13250.

Hope this helps you...
