Given :- Ram is 12 years older than Ravi. After 4 years Ram age will be equal to thrice the Ravi age.

To find :- Find their present ages.

Salutation :-

Let , the present age of Ravi be x

Then , the present age of Ram be ( x + 12 )

•°• Acc to the question

( x + 12 + 4 ) = 3( x + 4 )

x + 16 = 3x + 12

x - 3x = 12 - 16

- 2x = - 4

2x = 4

x = 4 / 2

x = 2

•°• The present age of Ravi is ( x ) 2 years.

And Ram is ( x + 12 ) = ( 2 + 12 ) = 14 years
