Answer

Kajal's age =x

Ram's age= x-19

Ratio of their ages after 5 years are:

Ram : Kajal

2 : 3

Therefore, Kajal's age will be

x+5=3x

5=3x-x

5=2x

5/2=x

And Ram's age will be

x-19+5=2x

x-14=2x

x-2x=14

-x=14

Therefore, Kajal is 2 and 1/2 years, whereas Ram is 14 years.

GIVEN:-

Ram is 19 years younger than his Kajal.

ratios of their ages after 5 years = 2:3

FIND:-

THEIR PRESENT AGES ?

SOLUTION:-

Let age of Kajal be x years

\therefore Age of Ram = x-19 years

After 5 years

Age of Kajal = x+5 years

Age of Ram = x - 19 + 5 = x - 14 years

ACCORDING TO QUESTION

 \frac{x - 14}{x + 5}  =  \frac{2}{3}

 = 3 \times ( x - 14) = 2( x+ 5)

 =  > 3x - 42 = 2x + 10

collect \: like \: terms

 =  > 3x - 2x = 10 + 42

x = 52

So, Present age of:

Kajal = x = 52 years

Ram = x -19 = 52 - 19 = 33 years

so, \: Kajal \: present \: age \underline{ \boxed{52 \: years}}

and \: Ram\: present \: age \underline{ \boxed{33 \: years}}
