Ram is driving a car with a speed of 36 km/hr.
When he was 275 m distant from the railway
crossing suddenly he saw the timer is showing 15
seconds remaining in closing and he accelerates
his car with 2 m/s?, after 10 seconds he realized,
it is risky so he applied brakes. What should be
the minimum deceleration of the car so that the
car stopped just before the crossing?

Answer:

distance covered by car in 10s with accelareion 2m/s2=36×518×10+12×2×(10)2=200mremaining distance=275−200=75and velocity of car after 10s=36×518+2×10=30m/sand let decelaration of the car is b thenby third equation of motion 0=302+2b×75b=−900150=−6m/s2
