Given data : Ram jogs around a rectangular park of length 50 m and breadth 30m. If he takes 10 rounds around the park each day.

To find : How much distance does he cover in a day ?

Solution : we need to find perimeter of the rectangular park,

⟹ Perimeter of rectangular park

= 2(length + breadth)

⟹ Perimeter of rectangular park

= 2(50 + 30)

⟹ Perimeter of rectangular park

= 2 * 80

⟹ Perimeter of rectangular park

= 160 m

∴ Ram cover 160 m in a one round.

Now, we need to find how much distance does he cover in the ten round.

⟹ distance covered by ram in ten round

= 160 * 10

⟹ distance covered by ram in ten round

= 1600 m

Answer : Here, we know that Ram takes 10 rounds around the park each day. Hence Ram covered 1600 m in a day.

{More info : 1000 m = 1 km means 1600 m = 1.6 km}
