Answer: DISTANCE IS THE TOTAL PATH COVERED BY THE OBJECT THAT IS THE DISTANCE BETWEEN ITS INITIAL POSITION AND THE FINAL POSITION. HENCE, AB+BC=TOTAL DISTANCE

                                 4km+2km=6km

DISPLACEMENT IS THE SHORTEST PATH COVERED BY AN OBJECT.

HENCE, AC=MAGNITUDE OF DISPLACEMENT

             2km=magnitude of displacement
