Subject: Consequences of developing residential colonies in green belt

Sir:

I am writing this letter to express my resentment and anguish over the Government’s decision to develop a residential colony in the 80-acre plot of land reserved for a garden and green belt near our colony. People of our area are deeply hurt and anguished over Bhopal Development Authority’s this decision.

The green belts are meant for purification of the environment of the area. Everyone knows how highly polluted our city is! Most of the pollution comes from industry, and vehicles. Industry produces air pollution in the form of untreated smoke that has many hazardous gases in it; the industry also discharges thousands of liters of toxic untreated effluents into the river and its tributary. The air and the water of the city have become highly toxic, leading to many health complications.

The construction of the colony will deprive the residents of the proposed park also.  Children and elders will have no place to play and to walk. Through the columns of your esteemed daily I appeal to the concerned authorities to rethink their decision. I am hopeful you will give my views enough space in your reputed daily and help in furthering the cause.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Ram Kumar Mishra

Subject : Regarding the results of building residential colonies in green belt.

Dear Sir,

I am writing you to this to tell you about my resentment & anguish over the government's decision of building residential colonies on an 80-acre plot of land reserved for a garden and green belt. The people of our locality are anguished over the construction decision of Bhopal Development Authority.

The garden & green belt are friendly to environment. They fights against different problems measurely the pollution. It is known to all how polluted is our city! The pollution caused by big industries & vehicles had already made a big impact on the city's pollution level. And if these residential colonies gets established than their will be nothing wrong if one says that they will kill themselves by doing this.

Also , there will be no parks and gardens for the children's and adults for playing and walking. There will be no greenery in the city & vive versa the pollution will keep increasing. Therefore , I request you to include this serious issue in your daily to let the government open its eyes and take prompt re-actions on its decision.

Yours sincerely,

Ram Kumar Mishra
