Solution :-
Let Ram initially had Rs. x
He loses 25 % of his money.
⇒ x/1 - (x*25)/100
⇒ x/1 - x/4
Taking LCM of the denominator and then solving it.
⇒ (4x - x)/4
= 3x/4
Now, after losing he spent 30 % of the remaining amount and he his left with Rs. 2625
⇒ 3x/4 - {(3x/4)*30}/100 = 2625
⇒ 3x/4 - 9x/40 = 2625
Taking LCM of the denominator and then solving it.
⇒ (30x - 9x)/40 = 2625
⇒ 21x/40 = 2625
⇒ 21x = 40*2625
⇒ 21x = 105000
⇒ x = 105000/21
⇒ x = Rs. 5000
So, he initially had Rs. 2625
