Madam Jha : Come in, Ram. Good morning. I would like to have a talk with you about your prolonged absence. Here, take a seat.
Ram : Good morning, Madam. Firstly, I am sorry that I didn't write an adequate application. I did not know how long I was going to be absent for.
Madam Jha : Yes, Ram. I would apologize you if you will tell me why did you take such a long leave.
Ram : Madam, I am going to be honest. My mother started having infection in her intestines about two weeks ago. My father does not live here with us, he works in another state. Therefore, I had to take care of her until he came yesterday.
Madam Jha : I'm deeply sorry to hear that. Is she feeling well now? You surely had some troublesome times.
Ram : Thank you, Madam, for your concern. She is doing quite well although there are some procedures that yet are not done yet. The doctors say she would be in the hospital for one more week.
Madam Jha : I would be more than happy to invite you and father to dinner tonight. I understand if you would not want to come. But only if I could help you by smoothening the situation by just a little bit.
Ram : I would definitely come with my father. Thank you again, Madam. But I must go for the classes now, the bell has already rung. Have a good day.
