Ram takes water in a transparent container which is at least 18-20cm long.
He adds 2-3 drops of milk and shines a powerful torch through the water. He
looks from the side of the container and finds that the color of the milk-water
mixture changes with distance from the torch. Near the torch, it’s a different
color and at the other end, it’s different. He found that as he added more
drops of milk in the container, the colours became darker.
(a) (i) What color does he observe at the end that is near the torch?
(ii) What color does he observe at the other end of the container?State the
reason for each case .
(b) Name the phenomenon involved
(c) Give any one example from your daily life, where the same result can be
observed.

Explanation:

Formulae (derived using allegation):

Milk left = Capacity * (1 – fraction of milk withdrawn)n

Therefore, milk left = 30 * 0.93

=> 30 * 910910 * 910910 * 910910

=> 21871002187100

So, Water in container = 30 – 21871002187100

=> (3000−2187)100(3000−2187)100

=> 813100813100

Therefore, Milk : Water = 2187 : 813 = 729 : 271

The question is "What is the ratio of milk to water at the end?"

Hence, the answer is "729271729271".
