Given:

  • Ram wants to build up a solid cube of side 15 cm.

To find:

  • How many cubical blocks of side 5cm will be required for it?

Solution:

• Let's consider ABCD is a cuboid.

Where,

  • Side = Cuboid = 5cm
  • Side = Cube = 15cm

• Let's consider cubical blocks required be x.

⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━⠀

« Now, By using volume formula(Cube & cuboid),

As we know that,

  • Volume of cuboid = H × B × L

  • Volume of cube = Side³

  • volume of cubical blocks (x) = Volume of side of the cube (15cm)

→ x × 5³ = 15³

→ 125x = 3375

→ x = 3375/125

→ x = 27

∴ Hence, 27 cubical blocks are required of side 5cm.
