Step-by-step explanation:

rama can finish a work in 8 days

work done by rama in 8 days = 1/8 of the work

work done by asha in one day = 1/14 of the work

work done by rama and asha together in a day

= 1/8+1/14

= 7+4/56

= 11/56

now number of days require to finish the 1 work= 1/11/56

==== 56/11= 5 1/11 days (mixed fraction)

hope this help

In 8 days rama can finish whole work

In 1 day rama can finish 1/8 of work

In 12 days asha can finish whole work

1n 1 day asha can finish 1/12 of work

In 1 day both can finish 1/8 +1/12

=7+4 / 56

= 11 / 56 then reciprocal 56/11

= then mixed fraction 5 1/11

.

. . They alone take 5 1/ 11 days to do the same work .

Hope it will help you
