Rama takes an iron cuboid of dimensions 30cm .20cm.10cm and mass5kg.she places it on the loose sand filled in a rectangular tray. On the basis of her observations she would conclude that the depression obtained on the loose sand would be

Pressure is inversely proportional to the cross section area.
Hence with decrease in area, the pressure exerted will increase.
Now place the cuboid in different orientations and find the area of the face in contact with the sand in each case.
The least area will be the one with 20x10 = 200cm^2 as the contact surface and 30cm height orientation.
Hence the depression will be maximum on the sand in that tray.
