Answer:

Rama walks toward North-East covering a distance of 60m.

It means Rama is walks making an angle of 45 degrees towards left from the starting point.

Then he takes a left and walks for 30 m, which means he walks 30 m North-West. Now he takes a right turn and walks for 40 m i.e he walks 40 m again towards North-East.

So, he has covered a distance of 100 m walking North-east and 30 m walking North-West.

Now he walk towards South-West covering a distance of 100 m.

So, he covered the North-East distance walking opposite and thus only North-West distance is remaining and that is 30 m.

So, he is situated 30 m North-West from starting point.
