What is Ramzan?
Ramzan is a holy month for Muslims, where Muslims all over the world, fast for the whole month. The fasting is called Roza.
Roza is fasting from before the sunrise and till the sunset. In between this time Muslims give up eating and drinking and focus only on namaz, charity, reading the holy Quran, and doing good deeds.
It is well known as the holy Quran is revealed to Prophet Muhammad during Ramzan, so Muslims celebrate Ramzan month by keeping fast to purify themselves.
Roza or fast is one of the five pillars of Islam.
The fasting time of Roza starts with sehri. During sehri you need to eat and drink but once sehri ends you cannot eat till the iftar time.
Iftar is the time where you can eat again and drink, commonly Iftar is done with date.
it is believed that fasting Roza is the natural way of detoxifying the body and mind to purify themselves and become close to Allah.
During Ramzan, Muslims do more charity to earn more reward from Allah and charity is one of the pillars of Islam.
