Step-by-step explanation:

Let the share be x

Ratio of investlment= 2 :3

Profit = 40,000..

2.3 = 5

2x + 3x = 40000 \\then 5x = 40000 value of x is x = 40000 div 5 = 8000

2x+3x=40000

then

5x=40000

x=40000÷5=8000

Total investment =15000+25000=40000

Investment of 1st person =

40000 15000

Investment of 2nd person =1− 83 = 85

Total profit =Rs.12000

Profit of 1st person = 83×Rs.12000=Rs.4500

Profit of 2nd person =Rs.12000−Rs.4500=Rs.7500
