Raman bought two watches. He later realised that he actually needs none of the watches. So, he sold them for 600 each, making loss of 20% on one and gain of 20% on the other. Did he make a profit on the whole transaction or a loss? And how much?

Answer: He did not get either loss or profit.

Explanation: he sold two watches 600 each and got 20% profit on one and 20% loss on one so

20% of 600 is= 20/100*600=120

so he sold one watch at 480rs and one at 720rs both add up to 1200rs which is equal to selling price
