Raman drove from home to a neighbouring town at the speed of 60 km/hr and on his return journey, he drove at the speed of 50 km/hr and also took an hour longer to reach home. What distance did he cover each way?

Explanation:

Let the time to go from home be t hrs.

The time to come home=(t+1)hrs

So,60×t=50×(t-1)

60t=50t-50

50t=110

t=11/5 hrs

Hence,distance =60×11/5=12×11=132km

He covered 132kms each way.
