Answer:

Let x be the amount of money kamal has initially

As per the statement:

Raman has three times as much money as Kamal

⇒Raman has amount of money initially  = 3x

It is also given that:

If Raman gives rs 750 to Kamal , then Kamal will have twice as much money as left with Raman

then;

Raman's has money now = 3x -750

and

kamal's has  money now = x+ 750

Also:

x+750 = 2(3x-750)

Using distributive property, a \cdot (b+c) = a\cdot b+ a\cdot c

x+750 = 6x-1500

Add 1500 to both sides we have;

x+2250 = 6x

Subtract x from both sides we have;

2250 =5x

Divide both sides by 5 we have;

450 = x

or

x = Rs. 450

therefore, Raman had = 3(450)= Rs. 1350 and kamal had = Rs. 450
