let the age of sameer be x

so ramam age = x+24

10 years back

sameer age =x-10

raman age= x+24-10

=x+14

x+14 = 5x-50

x-5x = -50 -14

-4x = - 64

4x = 64(minus canceled both side)

x = 64/4

x = 16

therefore the current age of sameer =16

and raman age = 16+24 = 40
