In ∆ABC and ∆PQR we have,
→ ∠ABC = ∠PQR { Both are standing vertically on the ground , so angle is equal to 90° .}
→ ∠ACB = ∠PRQ = θ { At same time angle of elevation of sun is same. }
so,
→ ∆ABC ~ ∆PQR { By AA similarity. }
then,
→ AB/PQ = BC/QR
→ 6/PQ = 8/5
→ 8•PQ = 6 * 5
→ PQ = 30/8
→ PQ = 3.75 feet (Ans.)
Hence, Height of the Manya is 3.75 feet .
