Answer:

Non - Contact force

Explanation:

Forces are classified as contact and non contact forces.

  • Contact Forces : These are such forces which needs you to make another object to come in contact with it to work. In simple words, a physical contact is necessary to be made to bring the object in motion.

Example :

- Pulling channel gate : Hands are used to come in contact with gate to pull it.

- hitting nail into wall : To hit a nail into wall, we use hammer. The force exerted by hammer on nail drives it to wall. Here, a physical contact was made by hammer to the nail.

  • Contact forces can also be called mechanical forces.

  • Non - Contact Forces : Forces which acts on body without making any physical contact with body are called non contact forces.

Examples :

- Magnetic Forces : A piece of magnet attracts iron nails to itself , even if it's kept far away.

- Gravitational Forces : When a ball is thrown upwards it returns back to us. This is called gravitational force. Without making any contact with the ball , it returns back on its own.
