Raman’s age is three times the sum of the ages of his two sons. After 5 years his age
will be twice the sum of the ages of his two sons. Find the age of Raman.

Ramans age = 3x

2). After 5 years his age will be twice the sum of the ages of his two sons

After 5 years,

  • sum of sons age = x + 10
  • Raman's age = 3x + 5

To find x

3x + 5 =2( x + 10)

3x - 2x = 20 - 5

x = 15

Raman's age = 3x = 3 x 15 = 45 years
