Answer:

Required Answer:-

Let the age of Raman's daughter be x and age of Raman be y. Then according to question..

⇒ x = 7y

⇒ Or, x - 7y = 0 -------(1)

Now adding 5 years to each of them. This is to equate the relation between their age after five years. Dia's age will be twice her present age.

Then,

⇒ x + 5 = 2x

⇒ x = 5

Raman's present age will be 7 × 5 = 35. When Dia was born, she was 0 years old. Then, Raman must be 35 - 5 = 30 years (Ans) old then.

Solution:

  • Let the age of Raman = x.
  • And the age of Dia = y.

According to the condition,

\sf{x = 7y} .........(1)

Five years from now,

\sf{y + 5= 2y}

\sf{\implies 2y - y = 5 }

{\boxed{\sf{\implies y = 5}}}

Now, putting the value of y in eq (1),we get,

\sf{x = 7 \times 5}

\sf{\implies x = 35 }

Therefore, the present age of Dia is 5 years and Raman's present age is 35 years .

Raman's age when his daughter was born = (35 - 5) = 30 years
