Answer:

Raman's monthly salary = 9600

Salary spent on food = 1/4 = 1/4 × 9600 = 2400

Salary spent on rent = 1/5 = 1/5 × 9600 = 1920

Salary spent on education of his children = 1/6 = 1/6 × 9600 = 1600

Total salary spent = 2400 + 1920 + 1600 = 5920

Salary left = 9600 - 5920 = 3680

He spends:

2400 on food

1920 on rent

1600 on his children's education

He has 3680 left with him.

Hey!!

Here is your answer -

Given :

Raman's monthly salary = Rs 9600

He spends 1/4 of his salary on food

And out of the remaining, he spends 1/5 on rent and 1/6 on education

To Find :

how much does he spend on each part

how much money is left with him

Solution :

Raman's earning of 1 month = Rs 9600

He spend 1/4th of his income on food

Now 1/4th of Rs 9600 = Rs 2400

Remaining money = Rs( 9600 - 2400)

= Rs 7200

Now

1/5th of remaining money if spent on rent =

1/5 × Rs 7200 = Rs 1440

and

1/6th of remaining money if spent on education=

1/6 × Rs 7200 = Rs 1200

Money left with him =

Rs ( 7200 - 1440 - 1200) = Rs 4560
