Given : Raman is stitching a kite shaped patch on the cushion cover

To Find : Raman stitched the white thread at what angles to each other?

a) 30° b) 60° c) 90° d) 60°

Solution:

kite shaped patch

in kite shape polygon

Diagonals  are perpendicular to each other.

Hence Raman stitched the white thread at 90° angles to each other

c) 90° is correct answer

similarity criteria applicable for smaller triangles at the upper part  of this kite is RHS

Sides of two similar triangles are in the ratio 2:9. The corresponding altitudes of these  triangles are in the ratio 2:9

2/9 = 4/x  => x = 18 cm

Area = (1/2) * 8 * 12  = 48 cm²
