Answer:

I think that the sum is rs .77

GIVEN

nos of 5 rs coin = x

so 2 rs coin = 3x (as it is three times of 5 rs coins.)

total sum = rs. 77

so sum of rs 5 coins = 5x

sum of rs 2 coins

=3×2x =6x

according to question

5x+6x = 77

11x= 77

x= 7

so 3x = 21

so Ramani has 7 rs 5 coins and 21 rs. 2 coins.

Correct Question :- Ramani has 3 times as many two-rupee coins as she has five-mipee coins. If she has in all sum of 77, then how many coins of each denomination does she have ?

Solution :-

Let Ramani has x coins of Rs.5 .

Than,

Rs.2 coins = 3 * x = 3x coins .

So,

Total Amount Ramani has = 5 * x + 2 * 3x = 5x + 6x = 11x .

Therefore,

11x = 77

→ x = (77/11)

→ x = 7

Hence,

Rs.5 coins = 7 coins (Ans.)

→ Rs. 2 coins = 7*3 = 21 coins. (Ans.)
