Answer

  • Ramen's money , x = ₹ 2250
  • Misha's money , y = ₹ 6750

Given

  • Ramen has three times as much money as Misha.
  • When Ramen gave ₹ 750 to Misha , he had only twice as much as her

To Find

  • The money Ramen and Misha had initially was

Solution

Let the money initially Ramen has be " x "

Misha's money be " y "

A/c , " Ramen has three times as much money as Misha "

x = 3y ... (1)

A/c , " When Ramen gave ₹ 750 to Misha , he had only twice as much as her "

x - 750 = 2 ( y + 750 )

⇒ x - 750 = 2y + 1500

⇒ x - 2y = 2250

3y - 2y = 2250 [ From (1) ]

y = 2250

Sub. y value in (1) , we get ,

⇒ x = 3 ( 2250 )

x = 6750
