Given:

Ramesh an ice-cream seller has set up his shop there are two ways to serve ice cream to his customers one is to serve the ice cream in the cylindrical glass with height 14 cm and radius 3 cm second serves the ice cream in the cylindrical glass with height 14 cm and radius 2 cm in both cases ice cream is filled up to the rim Ramesh chooses second opinion cylindrical glass with height 14 cm and radius 2 cm

To find:

The volume of ice cream served in the cylindrical glass

Solution:

As given in the question Ramesh chooses the option second of serving the ice-cream in the cylindrical glass, whose dimensions are:

The height of the cylindrical glass, h = 14 cm

The radius of the cylindrical glass, r = 2 cm

We know the formula of the volume of a cylinder is as follows:

\boxed{\bold{Volume\:of\:a\:cylinder = \pi r^2 h}}

Now, substituting the values of h = 14 cm and r = 2 cm in the formula

of volume above, we get

The volume of the cylindrical glass in the second option is,

= Volume of cylinder

= \frac{22}{7} \times 2^2 \times 14

= 22\times 4 \times 2

= \bold{176 \:cm^3}

Thus, the volume of ice-cream served in the cylindrical glass of the second option is → 176 cm³.
