CP FOR books bought by Ramesh=300

SP=360

Profit=CP-SP=360-300=60

So, profit%=60x100/300=20%

NOW,

CP at which krishna bought books=500

SP for books=590

Profit= CP-SP= 590-500=90

Profit%=90x100/500

=90/5=18%

SO, RAMESH MADE MORE PROFIT

For Ramesh,

Cost price of books= Rs 300

Selling price of books= Rs 360

Therefore,

Profit on the books= Rs 60

Profit percentage

={(60/300)×100}

=20

For Krishna,

Cost price of books= Rs 500

Selling price of books= Rs 590

Therefore,

Profit on books= Rs 90

Profit percentage ={(90/500)×100}

=18

Therefore, Ramesh made more profit.
