work done by Ramesh in 5 days = 1/5x

work done by Sohan in 5 days = 1/4x

WOK DONE BY BOTH IN 1 DAY

1/1/5 x + 1/1/4 x = 1

5x + 4x = 1

9x = 1

x = 1/9

$ince, 1 day = 24 hrs

x = 24/9 hrs

                                                                                      =\frac{5+4}{100}

                                                                                      =\frac{9}{100}

If they work together, they will complete the work in

=\frac{1}{\frac{9}{100}}    days =\frac{100}{9} days =11\frac{1}{9} days
