Given :

Number of days in which Ramesh can do a job = 20 days

Number of days he does alone = 10 days

Number of days he works with dinesh to finish the remaining work = 2 days

To find:

Number of days both Ramesh and Dinesh can finish their job = ?

Solution :

Work done by Ramesh alone in 10 days = \dfrac{10}{20}=\dfrac{1}{2}

Remaining work = 1-\dfrac{1}{2}=\dfrac{2-1}{2}=\dfrac{1}{2}

They finish in 2 days,

Let the number of days both take be 'x'

So, it becomes :

\dfrac{x}{2}=2\\\\x=4\ days

Hence, Dinesh and Ramesh would take 4 days to finish the work.
