Answer

⚝ Total length of rope ramesh is having :  \rm 21 \frac { 1 } { 4 } m

⚝ Length of each piece of rope :  \rm 4 \frac { 1 } { 4 } m

To get numbers of pieces ramesh would get we need to Divide the total length of rope with length of each piece.

i.e  \rm \frac {Total\:Length\:Of\:rope}{Length\:Of\:Each\:Piece}

So,

 \implies \rm 21 \frac { 1 } { 4 }m ÷  \rm 4 \frac { 1 } { 4 }

 \implies \rm \frac { 85 } { 4 } ÷  \rm \frac { 17 } { 4 }

Solving it we would be getting,

 \implies \rm \frac { 85 } { 4 } ×  \rm \frac { 4 } { 17 }

 \implies\boxed{ \rm 5}

He would be getting 5 pieces from the original rope.
