Reaction in hot water :
When the crystal is dropped in hot water the blue colour is diffused with the water. But since the water is hot the particles have higher kinetic energy due to which the colour diffuses in a rapid manner.
Reaction in cold water :
When the crystal is dropped in cold water the colour diffuses in the water in a slew rate as the kinetic energy of particles is low. Hence more time is taken for diffusion.
