Ramesh has 34 rupees 50 paise and 25 paise coins if the number of 25 paise coins be twice the number of 50 paise coins how many coins of each kind does he have​

Let ramesh has 'x' 50-paise coins & 'y' 25-paise coins.

She has rs 34

So rs 1 = 100 paise

rs 34 = 34*100 = 3400 paise

50x + 25y = 3400 ----------- (1)

Given that , y = 2x ------------(2)

from equation (1) & (2) we get

50x + 25*(2x) = 3400

50x + 50x = 3400

100x = 3400

x = 34

From (2) we get

y = 2x = 2*34 = 68

So,

Number of 50-paise coins = 34

Number of 25-paise coins = 68
