Persons suffering from gastroenteritis should take safety precautions to avoid spreading the bacteria to others.   One should wash  hands after using the toilet and before having food. One should not  prepare food for other people until his /her symptoms improve. Avoid close contact with others during  illness. After the symptoms stop, try to wait at least 48 hours before returning to work.  Person effected by the above symtoms should  use separate cutting boards and utensils for raw and cooked meats while preparing meals. Washing salads and vegetables thoroughly also helps

Gastro is an intestinal infection that comes with diarrhea, fever, cramps and vomiting.

Gastro is usually self treatable but it has the ability to spread to another host easily. Spreading of gastro will be more intense within family members when the infected person goes for a direct or indirect contact.

Precaution

Avoiding contaminated food and water would be the best precaution action.

Wash your hands frequently.

Don’t use the common toilets and bathrooms

Don’t use the households that are used by other family members.

Treatments

Just rest and re-hydrate yourself .
